Update Samsung Galaxy Note To Latest Android 2.3.6 XXLC1 Firmware

While talking about the Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 update, Samsung also dropped hints for many upcoming devices – Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 will get updated to Android 4.0 ICS and that it will follow soon.

Today Samsung release new firmware for Samsung Galaxy Note, Android 2.3.6 XXLC1 Gingerbread firmware. This latest Android 2.3.6 firmware for the Galaxy Note not  add with new features and only improve on the performance. You can download and  flash it on your Galaxy Note by follow step by step procedure given below:

Important Note: Please backup all your important data to external SD Card before start flash this new firmware.

Step 1: Download the official XXLC1 firmware:Link1 : Link 2 (XDA)

Download Odin: Link

Step 2: Extract the XXLC1 firmware zip file on your desktop.

Step 3: Turn Off Galaxy Note. Then turn GalaxyNote  into Download Mode by press the Volume Down + Home + Power button until warning icon appear on the screen. Then press the Volume Up button to enter Downloading Mode.

Step 4: Open ODIN, and then connect your Galaxy Note to your PC via USB. Yellow bar in the Odin COM:ID  column indicate that Odin detect your phone. (If Odin not detect your Phones, then you can refer here (Link) for how to solve)

Step 5:

Click on the PDA tab, and select the

CODE_N7000XXLC1_CL1003701_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5

Click on the MODEM tab,  and select the

MODEM_N7000XXLB2_REV_05_CL1106002.tar.md5 (from step 2.2)

Click on the CSC tab, and select the
GT-N7000-MULTI-CSC-OXALC1.tar.md5

Step 6: Click Start button to start flash Process.
