This is the beginning of a major new chapter for Android 4.0 OS – unlock your phone with a smile, tab through the browser windows, shoot panoramic images, and automate polite text replies to unwanted calls. Google and Samsung  has unveiled a smartphone running the next-generation Android OS and the first Ice Cream Sandwich equipped phone will be the Nexus Galaxy, which launches in November. Sure, Now we wait to find out which phones are getting a tasty Ice Cream Sandwich update.

According to Engadget, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwic first updates will start rolling out within weeks of the Galaxy Nexus release. Google’s Gabe Cohen told Engadget that the Galaxy S would be seeing an ICS update, and in fact, ICS should work “on any 2.3 device.” Besides this, Alain Mutricy, SVP of portfolio and product management at Motorola, also said that Ice Cream Sandwich would arrive on the Motorola Razr at the “start of 2012.” No official timetable has been announced for ICS updates to roll out, but as expected, Nexus S first to get the update and following by Nexus one, Samsung Galaxy S2 and S devices.
