Next-generation Tegra processor, codenamed “Project Kal-El,” is widely known as the world’s first quad-core processor for ultra portable that special design for devices like smartphones and tablets. In fact, the Tegra 3 processor has more computational power than the Core 2 Duo run by Intel.
NVIDIA Kal-El processor contains a fifth core, to help devices using the chip save power and the architecture keeps running temperatures cooler and offers efficiency with a prolonged battery life. For instance, during low-power tasks like Web browsing or music playback, the Tegra 3 processor will power down its four cores and instead rely on its the fifth core. Moreover, The new chip will offer incredible graphics resolution – up to 2,560 x 1,600 (dubbed Extreme HD) and provide so-called 3D stereo for better multimedia and gaming quality.
