The Sony Tablet S brims with additional hardware and software tweaks that set it apart from the rest of the competition. Sony added its own software applications and technology such as play first generation Play Station games, show/see images on DLNA compatible TV sets, Music can be streamed through wireless speakers, touchscreen’s firmware to analyze finger movement and improve responsiveness and more.

Sony seems to be very committed to making this new Android tablet a success. Full pricing and availability was not yet released, so for now we will just have to wonder where they plan to price this tablet with a unique design and features. Today, Sony has released an intriguing video teaser for its upcoming tablet range S1 and S2, which offers little in the way of information but still manages to be an oddly interesting watch.

These two tablets would be PlayStation Certified so you can play PlayStation titles meant for Android platform. Users will also be able to stream music and videos through Sony’s Qriocity multimedia

The Sony Tablet S2 reminds the Kyocera Echo with its dual-screen setup. Two 5.5-inch screens come with a resolution of 1024 x 480 pixels each. The S2 runs on a Tegra 2 chip and has a camera, while on the software side of things we have a custom-made user interface on top of the Android 3.0 Honeycomb

This new Android 3.0 tablet has made its first official leaked presence online, only 18 seconds, showing the Sony S2, the first dual screen tablet Honeycomb manufacturer.

Sony released a new teaser video this week showing the company’s upcoming Sony S1 and Sony S2 devices. Named “Two Will,” the campaign will include a series of videos which will be released at periodic intervals. The two tablets are very different devices. The larger of the two, code-named S1, has a 9.4-inch screen that takes up most of the front. The second tablet, code-named S2, has a clamshell design with twin 5.5-inch screens and can be folded so it fits in a jacket pocket or bag

Japanese popular electronics maker, Sony today has announced its first Android tablet PC which code named are S1 and S2. Sony’s tablets will be support  WiFi and 3G/4G  where  S1 has a 9.4-inch display and S2 has two 5.5-inch disign.

Sony S1 design will be tapered on one end “like holding a magazine” and Sony S2 can be folded into a clamshell which design similar to Kyocera Echo with its dual-screen setup. Both of these Android tablet will be powered by Tegra, compatible with Sony’s online music services and its e-book store, run on Android 3.0, compatible with WiFi, 3G and 4G connectivity. The S1 and S2 are scheduled to ship this autumn with the S1 expected to cost in the region of $599 and the S2 price is expected around $699.

Sony Ericsson New  Xperia series Android Phones, Xperia acro  was leaked. The Xperia acro is making an appearance on SE’s PC Companion software tool in Japan. The Xperia acro design seem very similar to Xperia arc and will power with 1GHz single-core Snapdragon, 4.2-inch display and 8.1MP Exmor R camer.

From the leaked image, we knows that there have 2 different versions of the Xperia Acro SO-02C which is the GSM version will likely land up on NTT DoCoMo and the IS11S, might be launched by KDDI’s CDMA network. This new Android Phones from Sony is expected to launch between May/June this year.

Sony Ericsson today announced that it has developed a secure mechanism for developers to unlock the boot loader of select Xperia devices.

“It will be possible to unlock the boot loader for certain releases of our 2011 Xperia phones, such as Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia pro and Xperia PLAY”.

According to the blog post, It will be possible to unlock the boot loader for some releases of upcoming Xperia phones series, such as Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia pro and Xperia PLAY. Not all versions of these Xperia devices will be so open to development. If the phone comes locked to a carrier you won’t have the same access, and Sony Ericsson says there are other factors that may prevent an unlockable bootloader depending on market and phone configuration.

This will be limited to only sim-unlocked phones, so carrier-partnered versions are out of luck here.  Anyway It isn’t the perfect situation because Sony Ericsson states that once you unlock the boot loader you may void the warranty of the device . Sony Ericsson explain that they are strongly recommend that standard users NOT unlock the boot loader, as it is not needed.

Following the unveiling of its full Xperia Play line-up, Gameloft has released footage of 10 games which have been optimized for the Android-toting PlayStation Phone.

Gameloft, the popular mobile video game developer is working on a slew of titles for the Xperia Play or the PlayStation Phone. The games actually look quite good for a mobile handset which has both control from the control pad and  screen touch.
